You need to be able to navigate situations during which emotions are running high and there’s a lot of information flying in all different directions. If you can successfully communicate through those instances then you’ll be a much more effective guard.

It’s also important that you not just focus on improving your verbal communication but you need to also practice your written communication. A large part of the job that nobody tells you about is the report writing.
